• Regional Meeting on Mental Health and Wellness

The First Nations of Quebec and Labrador Health and Social Services Commission (FNQLHSSC) is pleased to invite you to attend the regional meeting on mental health and wellness that will be taking place on March 19-20, 2019 in Québec City.

The objectives of the meeting are as follows:

1) Promote a concerted approach between the different communities in the development of their mental wellness projects.
2) Identify promising and inspiring initiatives in mental wellness.
3) Support communities in the development of services for issues related to mental health, from a multidisciplinary perspective.
4) Meet certain training needs identified as priorities by the communities.

For whom is the meeting intended?

The number of places being limited, the FNQLHSSC will reimburse the expenses for a maximum of two people per community. We are primarily targeting mental health, addictions and cultural intervention workers and coordinators. It is possible to register one additional participant per community, at their own expense, subject to place availability.

Reimbursement of travel and other expenses

The costs related to this training will be covered by the FNQLHSSC, according to its financial policy. For more information, please refer to the attached document.
How to make your reservations?

The training will take place at the Hôtel-Musée Premières Nations in Wendake. A block of rooms has been reserved at a cost of $125 plus taxes each. In order to benefit from the preferential rate, each participant must make their reservations by February 19, 2019 while mentioning the following group code: “CSS190319.” To reserve a room, call 418-847-2222.

Please note that the FNQLHSSC will refund only the preferential rate if the reservation is not made within the required timeframe or if another type of accommodation is chosen.
