Wendake, April 19, 2017 – Including today, just 88 days remain until the North American Indigenous Games (NAIG) get underway. The mission staff for Team Eastern Door and the North (EDN), made up of more than 300 athletes, is proud to join the team of the host society’s #88 campaign in support of Call to Action no. 88 of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada concerning the long-term Aboriginal athlete development.
The NAIG have been held every three years since 1990. This major gathering devoted to Indigenous sport and culture in North America welcomes some 5,000 Aboriginal youths aged 12 to 19 ready to demonstrate their skills in 14 traditional and modern sports disciplines!
