• Consultation on highly sweetenend alcoholic beverages
Apr 24, 2018

As you may be aware, as a result of recent events where media have reported that the death of a 14-year-old girl may have been associated with the consumption of a sugary alcoholic beverage called “FCKD UP”, Health Canada intends to consult Canadians to amend the Food and Drug Regulations to restrict the amount of alcohol in single-serve highly sweetened alcoholic beverages.

As indicated in the Notice of Intent the consultation period is 45 days from the publication of the notice if anyone wishes to provide input.
