Oct 03, 2018

In september 2018, the FNQLHSSC published the report entitled Summary, Impact Assessment of the Agreement between FNQLHSSC and Avenir d’enfants.

Over the last few years, the Agreement has allowed us to support the implementation of many community projects for the overall development of children ages 0–5 and their families. In all, 25 First Nations communities benefited from support and funding under this partnership.

This summary presents the effects or “changes” this agreement brought about in community advocacy, early childhood prevention, reinforcement of advisor capacities in the FNQLHSSSC and other results, which were not expected at the start of the evaluation. It also outlines the main lessons learned, the key ingredients to accomplishing community projects in First Nations contexts and a few recommendations for carrying out similar projects.

The summary report is available here.
