A great get-together for culinary chefs in Québec City and First Nations and Inuit representatives

Last August, the FNQLHSSC was pleased to take part in the second edition of the gastronomic event “À la rencontre des grands chefs,” organized by Québec Aboriginal Tourism at the Château Frontenac.


Quebec’s 11 First Nations were represented and were teamed up with some of the National Capital’s top chefs. They joined their efforts to create an appetizer respectful of the traditions of the different nations showcasing local products.


It was an opportunity to taste various Indigenous-inspired dishes at multiple stations, to discuss the cooking methods and to learn more about the Indigenous culture. This important event was focused on cultural exchange and knowledge sharing.
