We work to support and train advisors and managers for their functions related to applying the First Nations in Quebec Income Security Framework Policy. Our support work is based on the needs of resource persons, First Nations community culture and local characteristics. We respond to inquiries regarding the interpretation of last resort financial assistance regulations. In addition, upon request, workers can also avail themselves of personalized support to enable them to find strategies for resolving disputes or appeasing crises that they may encounter in the course of their work.
Our team develops various tools that facilitate the work of income security staff in the communities. Among these, the new state-of-the-art computerized management system, called Horizon, enables a simpler and more functional management of the Income Security Program. Training and supervision are offered to communities that wish to use this system.
