We collaborate in monitoring the health status of the First Nations and its determinants by documenting events and facts such as births, deaths, childhood illnesses and cancers, among others. We are working on the establishment of turnkey social-health indicators allowing each community and organization concerned to access its own data and thus facilitate their prevention work.
By monitoring the population health status and its determinants, we support First Nations communities and organizations in Quebec in their planning, evaluation and intervention activities by providing the various resource persons with reliable statistics reflecting the situation.
