In telehealth, we advise and support the First Nations in the exchange of medical data as well as in the development and implementation of remote health services. Our team works to create tools that take into account the realities of communities and organizations to facilitate the deployment of telehealth projects.
We have set up a remote screening program for diabetic retinopathy among First Nations populations in Quebec. Our team supports the work of remote diabetic retinopathy screening clinics, which is made possible by teleophthalmology. We are also contributing to the skills development of First Nations by training people who specialize in diabetes as well as nurses who perform the screening tests.
