Promoting equality and complementarity between First Nations and Inuit women and men<\/strong>
The Secr\u00e9tariat \u00e0 la condition f\u00e9minine is launching a call for projects to promote equality and complementarity between First Nations and Inuit women and men. Indigenous women play an important role in the life of their communities; they are strong drivers of economic, social and cultural development. The Quebec government therefore wishes to support them in their actions and promote their leadership. You have until 4:00 p.m. on September 15, 2023<\/strong>, to submit your project. Working in partnership to make life better for M\u00e9tis<\/strong>
On June 1, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau issued a news release, in which he reaffirmed the government of Canada\u2019s commitment to working with the M\u00e9tis National Council to build a more prosperous future for all M\u00e9tis citizens. To read the news release, click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The call for applications for the Joyce Echaquan Scholarship has been launched! The complete application file must be sent by email, to reseaudialog@ucs.inrs.ca<\/a>, no later than June 30, 2023<\/strong>. Financial Support Program, Together Against Bullying<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Quebec government is launching a call for projects as part of the Together Against Bullying Financial Support Program for 2023-2024. This program aims to contribute to the fight against bullying and cyberbullying as well as to prevention for this type of violence. Non-profit organizations have until 4:30 p.m. on June 30, 2023, to submit their applications and projects. To apply or for more information, consult the program here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Pathways Foundation \u2013 BECOME<\/strong>
The New Pathways Foundation is preparing its major BECOME launch for August 2023! The Become initiative is a group of projects aimed at encouraging self-knowledge, academic and professional guidance, as well as academic perseverance for young people. An official apology process for indigenous peoples: Joyce\u2019s principle office welcomes the Canadian Medical Association\u2019s initiative
<\/strong>Joyce’s Principle Office welcomes the announcement by the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) regarding their commencement of a formal apology process for wrongs done to Indigenous Peoples in the health care system. Consult the press release here<\/a>.

Projects\/Initiatives focusing on HIV self-testing, culturally safe care and harm reduction<\/strong>
Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) is pleased to announce that there is approximately $1.8M dollars of funding available for fiscal year 2023-2024 providing an opportunity for the submission of proposals to be considered for projects and\/or initiatives that focus on HIV self-testing, culturally safe care, and harm reduction. If interested, please submit your proposal directly to your First Nations and Inuit Health Branch (FNIHB) National Capital Region contact by June 30, 2023<\/strong>.
