Rights and Freedom Award <\/strong>On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the 45th anniversary of the coming into force of the Youth Protection Act, the Commission is highlighting a youth-related theme for this 2024 edition of the Rights and Freedom Award<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Becoming an adult: Changing trajectories, nurturing hope” is the theme chosen for the Rights and Freedom Award, which this year seeks to highlight initiatives that equip or support young people in their journey to adulthood. Health and Wellness<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

MADA and QADA information sessions <\/strong>The soutien \u00e0 la d\u00e9marche Municipalit\u00e9 des a\u00een\u00e9s<\/a> (MADA) program aims to adapt policies, services and structures that affect built and social environments in order to put in place conditions that optimize the possibilities for active aging. The program offers support to municipalities, MRCs and Indigenous communities who wish to implement a policy and action plan favorable to seniors. It provides financial assistance determined according to the size of the community and technical support including advisory assistance and recommendations on all aspects relating to the MADA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qu\u00e9bec ami des a\u00een\u00e9s (QADA) program<\/a> financially supports activities and initiatives of local, regional or national scope. These projects help adapt living environments to the realities of seniors, with a view to allowing them to stay at home, in their community, in healthy, safe and welcoming environments. This program also aims to promote the participation of seniors in the social, economic and cultural development of their community. It relies on partnership, consultation and collaboration between stakeholders in the field to carry out projects with direct and positive impacts on seniors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
