The Intersectoral Action Fund<\/span><\/b> \n<\/span>In recent years, communities across Canada have faced immense and complex public health challenges, which amplified the need for better prevention, preparedness and resiliency of our public health system.\u00a0<\/span> The objective of the Fund is to support action on the SDOH by strengthening capacity in communities to advance upstream ISA, in ways that improve population health, reduce health inequities, and strengthen community resiliency. <\/span>Learn more<\/span><\/a>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Call for proposals: First Nations Baseline Assessment Program on Health and the Environment<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>
<\/span>Indigenous Services Canada\u2019s First Nations Baseline Assessment Program on Health and the Environment (BAPHE) is inviting First Nations communities and organizations, to submit an application to the program that will enable the collection and analysis of the current state of selected human health and environmental indicators prior to the implementation of a major project. The deadline to <\/span>submit<\/span> an application is <\/span><\/span>November 1, 2024, at 11:59 p.m<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span> Mountain Time. Consultation on proposed streamlining of requirements for cannabis<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>
<\/span>Health Canada is pleased to announce the publication of the proposed\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Regulations Amending Certain Regulations Concerning Cannabis (Streamlining of Requirements<\/span><\/span><\/a>),\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Order Amending the Cannabis Tracking System Order (Cultivation Waste<\/span><\/span><\/a>) and\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Order Amending Schedule 2 to the Cannabis Act<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0in the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Canada Gazette, Part I<\/span><\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Health Canada is seeking further feedback on these proposed amendments and invites stakeholders and partners to <\/span>participate<\/span> in a 30-day public comment period from<\/span><\/span> June 8, <\/span>2024<\/span><\/strong> until 11:59 pm<\/strong> EDT on July 8, 2024.<\/span><\/span> Feedback is requested via the online commenting feature. First Nations Child and Family Services and Jordan\u2019s Principle Survey <\/span><\/b> \n<\/span>On June 19, 2024, the Federal Court <\/span>approved<\/span><\/a> the first Claims Process focused on the Removed Child and Removed Child Family Classes. The Administrator is gathering feedback from all Class Members through a survey.
