Its mission is to provide diabetes-related information, awareness and prevention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Diabetes Qu\u00e9bec advocates on behalf of people living with diabetes among governments, health services and businesses. It also promotes the advancement of diabetes research by providing scholarships to students and researchers each year. Through their Universi-D diabetes school, they offer courses for people living with diabetes and accredited training for healthcare professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 1980, Diabetes Qu\u00e9bec has been receiving professional guidance. Under the chairmanship of Dr.&nbsp;R\u00e9mi Rabasa-Lhoret, 11 experts offer scientific guidance to the organization. They also identify action priorities for the training of people living with diabetes as well as health professionals. They ensure compliance with the ethical and moral standards of Diabetes Qu\u00e9bec.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Services offered across Quebec<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To accomplish their mission, health professionals developed a multitude of resources and tools available in French and English. Here are some services that are available for people living with diabetes and healthcare professionals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><em>Plein Soleil<\/em>&nbsp;quarterly newsletter (French only): Exclusive to members of Diabetes Qu\u00e9bec.<\/li><li>Website: Resources in French and English for people living with diabetes and health professionals: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.diabete.qc.ca\/en\/\">https:\/\/www.diabete.qc.ca\/en\/<\/a>.<\/li><li>InfoDiabetes helpline: Free bilingual information and referral service available to people living with diabetes and health professionals by phone, email or chat: 1\u2011800\u2011361\u20113504, extension 233.<\/li><li>Educational material: Free educational guides, pamphlets and leaflets in French and English.<\/li><li>Training: Universi-D, Diabetes Qu\u00e9bec diabetes school, offering a program featuring a wide range of courses for people living with diabetes and health professionals: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.universi-d.com\">www.universi-d.com<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For the 880,000 people living with diabetes in Quebec, Diabetes Qu\u00e9bec is THE REFERENCE for diabetes in Quebec.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td>Are you a health professional who wants to know more about Diabetes Qu\u00e9bec and Universi-D?
