Social Economy Animation Kit: Changing the World, One Project at a Time<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Social Economy Month begins, the New Pathways Foundation is pleased to present Changing the World, One Project at a Time<\/em>, a joint initiative with the First Nations of Quebec and Labrador Economic Development Commission (FNQLEDC), the First Nations of Quebec and Labrador Health and Social Services Commission (FNQLHSSC) and M361. The organizations are excited to be launching this range of tools to inform and educate First Nations youth in Quebec 15 and older about the social economy. Cultural Spaces in Indigenous Communities Program<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cultural Spaces in Indigenous Communities Program is a new contribution program that supports Indigenous communities in re-establishing and revitalizing cultural spaces. The program offers opportunities for Indigenous women, girls and 2SLGBTQQIA+ individuals to access their cultures, languages and strengthen their identities. Taking Stock of the Calls to Action on Sport and Reconciliation for First Nations, Inuit and M\u00e9tis peoples<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The National Collaborating Centre for Indigenous Health (NCCIH) is undertaking a two-year Champion of Partnerships project as part of the Government of Canada\u2019s Common Vision for Increasing Physical Activity and Reducing Sedentary Living in Canada: Let\u2019s Get Moving. The role of the NCCIH in this initiative is to help promote physical activity, recreation, and sport opportunities for First Nations, Inuit and M\u00e9tis peoples, families and communities across Canada. Wellness in leadership: Leading the way<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the occasion of the event ”The wellness of our nations: continuing the collective reflection”, which was held on September 16, 2021, Alana Kane, Mental Wellness & Addictions Manager at the Kahnawake Shakotiia’takehnhas Community Services offered a conference regarding wellness and leadership. Worlds Indigenous Peoples\u2019 Conference on Viral Hepatitis Mini Conference (Anglais seulement \/ English only)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This mini conference, which will be held on November 23, 2021 at 1:00 p.m., will feature international Indigenous speakers and allies address how to refocus on hepatitis testing, treatment and prevention, as well as lessons learned from COVID-19. The National Turtle Lodge Council of Elders and Knowledge Keepers invites you to an Honouring Ceremony for Elder Dr. David Courchene (Nitamabit – The Original Way and One who Sits in Front\/ Nii Gaani Aki Inini – Leading Earth Man). This very special event will take place at the Turtle Lodge International Centre for Indigenous Education and Wellness, in Sagkeeng First Nation, Manitoba, on Saturday November 6 from 11 am to 2 pm.
