COVID-19 Vaccines: Guidelines for People Living with HIV<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As COVID-19 vaccines are becoming increasingly available, clinical guidance with regards to additional doses for people living with HIV is changing. Some public health authorities have recommended a third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine for a small minority of people living with HIV who have untreated infection or are severely immunocompromised. The CIHR Canadian HIV Trials Network (CTN) and CATIE have developed an online resource that includes recommendations, conditions and considerations for third shots for people living with HIV. Substance Use and Addictions Program (SUAP): Micro-grant funding for cannabis and vaping public education<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you have a great idea to raise awareness among youth about the health effects of cannabis and\/or vaping? This is your opportunity to make a positive difference! SUAP is offering micro-grant funding (maximum of $1,000 in funding) for innovative projects that provide education or awareness to youth and young adults about the health effects and risks of cannabis and vaping. Application deadline is Monday, December 6, 2021<\/strong>. Emergency Food Security Fund<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second Harvest has received an additional $22.7 million from Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada\u2019s Emergency Food Security Fund. This new funding for non-profits and charities in communities across Canada will\u202fenable the purchase of\u202ffood,\u202fgrocery gift cards\u202fand food vouchers,\u202fas well as\u202fprovide\u202fsupport for\u202ffood distribution. An amount has been reserved for Indigenous communities. Funding requests can be made for a minimum of $5,000 up to a maximum $100,000. New Horizons for Seniors Program<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The New Horizons for Seniors Program supports projects (up to $25,000) that address the following objectives: promoting volunteerism among seniors and other generations; engaging seniors in the community through the mentoring of others; expanding awareness of elder abuse, including financial abuse; supporting the social participation and inclusion of seniors; and providing capital assistance for new and existing community projects and\/or programs for seniors. New Indigenous Business Directory<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The First Nations of Qu\u00e9bec and Labrador Economic Development Commission (FNQLEDC) and Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) are proud to announce the launch of the Indigenous Business Directory, entirely revised and with a new and simplified interface. Rendezvous of Culture with the Social Economy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the occasion of Social Economy Month 2021, the First Nations Social Economy Regional Table, in collaboration with the P\u00f4le des entreprises d\u2019\u00e9conomie sociale de la Capitale-Nationale, is inviting you to the \u201cRendezvous of Culture with the Social Economy\u201d, on November 30, 2021 from 8:45 to 10:30 a.m. The conference will be broadcast live via the Zoom platform from the H\u00f4tel-Mus\u00e9e Premi\u00e8res Nations in Wendake.
