Affiliate School National First Nations Homelessness Action Plan Survey<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to an urgent need to address First Nations homelessness across Canada, the Assembly of First Nations has undertaken a coordinated strategy to develop a National First Nations Homelessness Action Plan. In order to improve understandings of First Nations\u2019 experiences of homelessness and identify opportunities to better meet the needs of those who are affected by it, you are invited to take this survey: afn.ca\/national-first-nations-homelessness-action-plan-survey<\/a>. Should you have any other questions, comments, or concerns, please contact Jordan Fischer, Senior Policy Analyst, at jfischer@afn.ca.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Invitation to participate in the NutriQu\u00e9bec project<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

NutriQu\u00e9bec<\/a> is the biggest project on diet and health ever conducted in Quebec. It consists of approximately 90-minute questionnaires to be completed once a year. The project will be carried out entirely on Internet in a simple, secure and confidential way, in the desired language (English or French). In return, participants receive a personalized food assessment and are eligible to periodic draws. First Nations are invited to participate in large numbers to have access to unpublished food data in their communities, number of participants permitting. We need your help to promote this information in First Nations communities. If you have any questions, please send an email at info@nutriquebec.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2023 Canada Games Aboriginal Apprentice Coach Program<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Aboriginal Sport Circle is pleased to announce that the intake for the 2023 Aboriginal Apprentice Coach Program is now open. 2022 Child & Youth Trauma Symposium<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You are invited to the upcoming\u202f2022 Symposium on Child & Youth Trauma, taking place on May 18-19th, 2022. The Symposium will highlight cutting edge trauma-informed approaches to supporting children and youth. On day 1 (May 18th), creator of the Sanctuary model and the new Creating Presence model,\u202fDr. Sandra Bloom\u202fwill be keynote speaker. Jays Care Foundation is supporting communities who are committed to inclusion, gender equity, health promotion and increasing the well being of students. Among other things, Jays Care offers an after-school recreation program that brings Indigenous youth together using the power of baseball and softball. Programme Lutte contre l’homophobie et la transphobie (fran\u00e7ais seulement \/ French only)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dans le cadre du programme Lutte contre l’homophobie et la transphobie, le minist\u00e8re de la Justice soutient financi\u00e8rement des projets qui visent \u00e0 pr\u00e9venir ou \u00e0 combattre les pr\u00e9jug\u00e9s, et la discrimination, fond\u00e9s sur l’orientation sexuelle, l’identit\u00e9 de genre, l’expression de genre, ainsi qu\u2019\u00e0 favoriser la pleine reconnaissance des personnes faisant partie des minorit\u00e9s sexuelles au Qu\u00e9bec. L’appel de projet se termine le 5 janvier 2022 \u00e0 16 h 30.<\/strong> L’aide financi\u00e8re peut atteindre 50 000 $. C’est le 23 novembre dernier que l’Universit\u00e9 de Sherbrooke (UdeS) d\u00e9voilait son Plan d’action pour et avec les peuples autochtones<\/a>, ainsi que son tout nouveau site Web Autochtones<\/a>, lors d’un \u00e9v\u00e9nement qui se tenait au Centre culturel de l’UdeS. Avec la mise en \u0153uvre de ce plan<\/a>, l’UdeS formalise une s\u00e9rie d’engagements visant \u00e0 renforcer sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 contribuer \u00e0 la r\u00e9ussite \u00e9ducative des \u00e9tudiantes et \u00e9tudiants autochtones et \u00e0 accueillir et reconna\u00eetre les savoirs et les cultures autochtones sur ses campus et au sein de ses missions d’enseignement, de recherche et de services aux collectivit\u00e9s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

La nouvelle \u00e9dition du concours de la Semaine qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise interg\u00e9n\u00e9rationnelle est lanc\u00e9e! Ce concours r\u00e9compense chaque ann\u00e9e des initiatives qui se sont d\u00e9marqu\u00e9es. Il est ouvert \u00e0 tous les individus, institutions ou organismes \u00e0 but non lucratif ayant mis en \u0153uvre une activit\u00e9 ou un projet qui favorise le rapprochement entre les g\u00e9n\u00e9rations. Chacun des six laur\u00e9ats se verra remettre une bourse de 1000 $.
