To this end, 28 communities in Quebec were invited to participate and a total of 4,200 interviews are planned among the selected respondents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What is the RHS?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The RHS is a cyclical population survey aimed at drawing a global portrait of the general health and wellness of First Nations living in communities in Canada, according to five themes: language and culture, state of health and wellness, sociodemographic and socioeconomic conditions, lifestyle and behaviour, and the physical and social environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the first survey created BY and FOR First Nations, the RHS is a model of innovation in terms of the involvement of nations in the process, ethics and decolonization of research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>COVID-19<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to the current situation related to COVID-19, the RHS will be carried out entirely in accordance with the public health directives put in place by the provincial public health authorities and those of each community. In order to ensure safe data collection, the collection methods will be adapted. For example, it will be possible to carry out a collection entirely remotely or using a hybrid approach (virtual and in person).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Next steps<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the coming weeks, a call to recruit local interviewers from different communities will be launched.
