My Vaxx Journey campaign<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Indigenous Youth Working Group on Vaccine Uptake have developed the My Vaxx Journey youth-led campaign to encourage vaccine confidence among Indigenous Youth in Canada, while honouring the voices of youth through the sharing of video testimonials about their own vaccine journeys. December 9, 2021 marked the soft launch of the campaign with all social media accounts and campaign landing page myvaxxjourney.ca<\/a> both live. The My Vaxx Journey KICKS COVID! video contest kicks off in early January 2022! Indigenous Youth across Canada will be invited to share their voices and vaccination stories about their personal experiences before, during, and after vaccination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reminder: Tools to Decolonize Health Care in Quebec<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Quebec Indigenous Nursing Research Chair and the Regroupement des Centres d’Amiti\u00e9 Autochtones du Qu\u00e9bec will be co-hosting an online forum on “Tools to Decolonize Health Care in Quebec”, which will be held on February 17, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Zoom. Human rights justice for First Nations children<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marie-Claude Landry, Chief Commissioner of the Canadian Human Rights Commission issues the following statement:  \u201cThe Canadian Human Rights Commission welcomes the historic $40 billion dollar agreement-in-principle to reform the First Nations child and family services program, to ensure Canada\u2019s implementation of Jordan\u2019s Principle, and to compensate some 200,000 First Nations children and families who suffered as a result of Canada\u2019s discriminatory funding of these services. The ParticipACTION Community Better Challenge Grant Application<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ParticipACTION Community Better Challenge will take place from June 1 to 30, 2022. Organizations can apply for a grant from January 17 to February 21 for physical activity events during the challenge. More details coming soon. For now, you can register<\/a> for a webinar on January 13, 2022 to learn more about the application process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Funding opportunity under PHAC’s Dementia Strategic Fund<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) has launched a funding opportunity through the Dementia Strategic Fund: Dementia Guidelines and Best Practices Initiative. This initiative aims to improve access to and use of high-quality dementia guidance in Canada. Funded projects are expected to reduce gaps identified in both the availability and the adoption of high-quality dementia guidance. The application deadline is 12 P.M. January 28, 2022. Canada Summer Jobs 2022 \u2013 Call for Applications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The annual call for applications for the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program is open.  Employment and Social Development Canada will be accepting applications until January 25, 2022.  Applicants are able to seek funding to hire youth (people aged 15-30 years) between April 25, 2022 and September 3, 2022. Work placements must be full-time (30-40 hours per week) quality jobs with a minimum duration of six weeks and a maximum of 16 weeks. Apply Now<\/a> for Canada Summer Jobs funding!
