Invitation to National Dialogue Engagement Sessions – The Well-Being Project (Anglais seulement \/ English only)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Canadian Aboriginal AIDS Networkand and the Dr. Peter Centre will be hosting 4 National Dialogue sessions throughout January and February to gather together and share perspectives and learnings on how the COVID-19 pandemic has influenced the experiences of gender-based violence amongst Indigenous Women (inclusive of Trans-women, Two-Spirit, Femme\/Feminine-identifying, Genderqueer, or Non-binary, LGBTQ2S+) who are living with HIV and\/or Hepatitis C. Well-being Wasacu (Circles) \u2013 Men\u2019s Traditional Teachings Sharing Circle (Anglais seulement \/ English only)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Community\u2019s, Alliances & Networks are happy to announce the Indigenous Men\/Individuals who identify as Male programming. Developed from the Indigenous Men\u2019s Leadership Coordinator. The sessions will be a healing\/sharing space for Individuals who want to talk about their day to day lives, mental health, aging, positive thoughts, and strengths we can develop as Indigenous people. Assembly of First Nations Virtual Dialogue on First Nations Accessibility and the Accessible Canada Act<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Assembly of First Nations is hosting a Virtual Dialogue on First Nations Accessibility and the Accessibility Canada Act: Empowering First Nations Persons of all Abilities, and First Nations Governments. The Western session will take place on February 3, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET and the Eastern Session will take place on February 10, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET.  Both virtual dialogues invite First Nations persons with disabilities, First Nations leadership, regions, administrators, delivery, service providers, and more. Inside the mental health shadow pandemic<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mental health is on everyone\u2019s list these days, with not only historic government investment but also record public engagement in addressing stigma, speaking openly about well-being, and seeking support when needed. But if we\u2019ve seen some success in raising awareness and addressing the stigma around mental health, the urgency to do more is still present. Applicants must have a proven understanding, knowledge, awareness, and experience of English-language health and social services access. The Provincial Committee\u2019s deliberations and recommendations provide the Government of Qu\u00e9bec with valuable insights on the provision of and access to those services. Listen, Hear Our Voices<\/em> is an initiative to support Indigenous nations, governments and non-profit organizations in their efforts to digitize existing documentary heritage related to Indigenous languages and cultures; and build the skills, knowledge and resources required to carry out this work in their communities.
