A new year is synonymous with new projects and new challenges. This is the case for four former FNQLHSSC team members, who have left the organization for a well-deserved retirement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We would like to take this opportunity to introduce some of these employees to you, although you may have had the opportunity to collaborate with them in the course of their duties. We wish them much happiness in this new chapter of their lives and thank them for their hard work and dedication during all these years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/strong>Danielle, from the community of Wendake, left our organization on December 31 after working for 18 years with the FNQLHSSC as a Financial Clerk. While she was certainly not in direct contact with community workers, her work was essential to the smooth running of the organization. Despite the rather cold winter weather, we hope that she is enjoying her retirement and spending quality time with her loved ones, including her grandchildren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/strong>Yves retired on February 18 after working for 11 years at the FNQLHSSC. Yves, who is also from Wendake and a proud representative of Wendat culture, held the position of Quebec First Nations and Inuit Faculties of Medicine Program (QFNIFMP) Coordinator. Through the program\u2019s mission, his main responsibility was to promote accessibility for First Nations and Inuit students to training programs in the field of health and to support them in their admission processes. Note that, since 2008, 64 students have been admitted to the QFNIFMP. Happy retirement, Yves!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/strong>After spending six years of her career at the FNQLHSSC, Marie-Jeanne retired on March 1. She held the position of Surveillance Plan Development Agent. Some of you may therefore have had the opportunity to work with her, especially if you have used the PRISM portal. In particular, she was responsible for developing and implementing a surveillance plan of health status and its determinants among First Nations for the Quebec region. Marie-Jeanne was very dedicated and involved in improving the wellness of First Nations, and we wish her a wonderful well-deserved retirement!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/strong>Jos\u00e9e, who is another proud member of the community of Wendake, left the organization on March 31 after having spent 14 years of her career at the FNQLHSSC. As the Executive Secretary, she held a vital function within the organization in support of the Executive Director by keeping her calendar up to date and ensuring certain follow-up. With her love of laughter and her gift for unusual expressions, Jos\u00e9e\u2019s personality allowed her to make allies within the various sectors of the organization and to make her mark.
