This initiative will be based on Quebec&#8217;s initiative to improve suicide prevention practices, which was launched in 2007 (piloted by CSSS-IUGS at the request of thedepartment of Health and Social Services). Its general aim is to implement structured suicide prevention measures in Aboriginal communities, drawing on tried-and-true methods that have been adapted to First Nations contexts.
