The Indigenous Patient Circle of Quebec is an independent and self-determined community whose purpose is to provide a safe space for its members to share and to guide the implementation of the Unité de soutien SSA Québec’s Indigenous Health Program.

Virtual Forum: Charting the First Nations Path to the Sustainable Development Goals

24th IUHPE World Health Promotion Conference
This conference will take place from May 15 to 19, 2022 in Montreal (Quebec, Canada), and online, around the world. This major hybrid event is co-organized by the UIPES, the School of Public Health of the University of Montreal, and a consortium of local partners. Tchin-tchin Challenge and Mr. FunWater Challenge
From March 21 to 25, 2022, as part of the Canadian Water Week and World Water Day, two free and fun challenges aim at promoting water consumption among children:
the Tchin-tchin Challenge (preschoolers and elementary students) and
the Mr. FunWater Challenge (early childhood).
Children celebrate water by toasting at lunchtime and by participating in educational and fun activities on healthy hydration.
Also, by registering to one of the challenges (https://soifdesante.ca/en/school or https://soifdesante.ca/en/29/mrfunwater-challenge) before March 4, 2022, all registered settings will receive a participation prize: stickers that can be put on water bottles for all students (Tchin-tchin Challenge) and a book entitled Une journée à la garderie avec Rigol’eau [French only] and an English PDF version (Mr. FunWater Challenge).
Assembly of First Nations National Asset Management Conference
The Assembly of First Nations (AFN) is hosting the National Asset Management Conference on March 8-10, 2022. This virtual event will take place 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET each day.

Connaught Community Partnerships Research Program – Indigenous Stream
The University’s Connaught Committee has allocated funds to support an internal research funding stream based on Indigenous worldviews, principles and community needs. This work will help ensure Indigenous research being conducted at the University of Toronto is community driven and has a positive impact on Indigenous Peoples and Communities in Canada.
Communities have until May 2022 to submit a project. They are also invited to contact the person in charge of the Fund (Cathy Fournier: cathy.fournier@utoronto.ca) in order to receive support for the writing of a project.
Nurturing Communities Forum (French only)Vivre en Ville invites you to the Nourishing Communities Forum to be held on Thursday, March 24 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., virtually. This forum will take the form of a morning of conferences and discussions. With the current enthusiasm of the population for urban agriculture, local food and food autonomy, as well as the recognition of the role of municipalities in food systems, this forum will create an opportunity for all communities with nourishing approaches (municipalities, RCMs, Aboriginal communities) while making them aware of the tools available to them in terms of food.
