In terms of information governance, we support the First Nations in Quebec in the management, strengthening and supervision of their information. Our team advises the First Nations communities and organizations on information management. We are able to help communities in the way in which information is collected, interpreted, stored, protected, shared and accessed.
Our mandate also consists of documentation, training and survey-related work. We document community wellness and its components. This documentation work allows for the development of culturally relevant indicators for the First Nations.
We provide training in the form of workshops or information sessions to the relevant resource persons. We are also able to conduct population surveys whose results can be used in decision-making processes, at the local, regional and national levels.
