10th Anniversary of First Nations Wellness Day! My Wellness, All Year Round: 12 months to take care of yourself

Every year, on February 1, the FNQLHSSC highlights First Nations Wellness Day in order to raise awareness in the communities about individual and collective wellness.

The theme for the 2021 edition is “My Wellness, All Year Round: 12 months to take care of yourself. The past year was filled with challenges that forced us to adapt to a new context. All of the lifestyle changes we made have an impact on our overall health. For some, physical activities were less accessible, managing emotions was more difficult and contact with nature was less frequent. This calendar was created to support you in your journey towards individual wellness.

The calendar for all ages includes the seven sacred teachings, applications to download to help you achieve your goals, an assessment at the beginning of the year and one at the very end, as well as activities related to the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual dimensions.

Voilà!

Everyone can benefit from this calendar, in the professional, personal or family environment.

For workers: the contents of the calendar can be used to create wellness awareness workshops and can even be a useful tool for following-up in the context of support sessions. For example, calculating the number of successful days relating to a change in habit.

No matter how many activities you have done in a month, the calendar is a positive tool that aims to encourage you to achieve balance.

It is never too late to start taking action for our wellness!
