From October 2024 to January 2025, the FNQLHSSC conducted consultations in eight provincial correctional facilities with First Nations stakeholders and offenders to better understand their realities, needs, and the services available to them. The aim of this report is to present the main findings of this consultation and to help identify the contributing factors, as well as the courses of action and continuum of services needed to support the reintegration of First Nations individuals into society upon their release.
