Enabling future physicians of the four faculties of medicine to acquire cultural competencies with respect to realities experienced among Aboriginals
These sessions, largely in lecture format, are offered in classrooms on the campuses of the four medical schools that are associated with Quebec First Nations and Inuit Faculties of Medicine Program: Laval University, the University of Montréal, McGill University and the University of Sherbrooke.
They are intended to educate future doctors from these universities to the history and reality of the First Nations and Inuit in Quebec with a focus on their health, particularly the organization of their health services, the impact of the era of the residential schools for Aboriginal people, etc.
