Teleophthalmology: screening for diabetic retinopathy with and without pupil dilation Clinical training for nurses
This training, certified and accredited by the University of Montréal, enables nurses to develop the skills necessary to prepare and hold a screening clinic with or without pupil dilation, and to monitor the results independently after having studied the following modules:
- The collective prescription on pupil dilation;
- Diabetes and diabetic retinopathy;
- Procedures, side effects and precautions related to dilation;
- Clinical data;
- Tonometry, administration of dilation agents and visual acuity assessment;
- Subacute and acute reactions;
- Monitoring in cases of abnormal results.
