First Nations Labour and Employment Development Survey

The FNQLHSSC is pleased to inform you of the publication of the results of the First Nations Labour and Employment Development (FNLED) Survey. The official launch of the results took place on November 25, 2021, during the Grand Economic Circle of Indigenous People and Quebec, which was organized by the First Nations of Quebec and Labrador Economic Development Commission.

You can now access the thematic booklets of the report as well as a collection of highlights in our documentation centre. You are also invited to watch the video, which briefly presents the results of the FNLED Survey.

The FNLED Survey aims to paint a portrait of the labour and employment situation within the First Nations communities in Quebec. Its main objectives are to provide scientifically and culturally validated information and to improve First Nations governance in terms of research decolonization.

The results will provide key community stakeholders and decision-makers with access to quality evidence-based data. In addition, the results can contribute to informed decision-making regarding labour employment development issues in the communities.

Finally, we would like to thank the communities and respondents who participated in this Survey as well as the members of the Advisory Committee who guided the process.
