Logo Contest : Quebec First Nations Regional Information Governance Strategy

PRESENTATION AND RULES

Presentation of the contest and objective

The regional information governance strategy needs a strong image for all its communication tools.

As such, we’re holding a contest to showcase the artistic talents of First Nations members, who are invited to create an original and representative visual to illustrate this major project and its communication materials (e.g., official documents, website, promotional items, etc.).

Background

Background

The regional information governance strategy aims to enable First Nations to reclaim their data and information, which will foster better decision-making and the achievement of full autonomy.

In harmony with their right to self-determination and their sovereignty of information, First Nations in Quebec organize, structure, control and manage their information assets according to their values, world view and practices so that they can make informed decisions and guide their actions to effectively serve their populations and the collective.

In Quebec, the FNQLHSSC is coordinating the engagement process on the regional information governance strategy with First Nations communities and organizations, in conjunction with the regional commissions and organizations (RCOs) of the Assembly of First Nations Quebec-Labrador (AFNQL).
