Our mandate, in terms of home care and assisted living, involves support, communication and training, to ensure that the communities can offer the best possible services to people requiring home care.
We provide professional assistance to communities in the management of programs, such as the First Nations and Inuit Home and Community Care Program (FNICCP) and the Assisted Living Program. For example, we can support communities in the development or improvement of their service delivery plans, the placement of people, their integration as well as the continuity of services.
We organize regional meetings and training sessions and provide communities and organizations with resources related to home care and services on a variety of subjects dealing with, more particularly, people with decreasing independence, senior wellness and palliative care.
In addition, our team acts as a liaison between First Nations communities, governments and other organizations regarding home care and services as well as residential care facility services for adults.
