The Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate
On November 16, 2021, the Superior Court of Quebec authorized a class action against The Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate and you could be a member. This class action aims to obtain compensation for anyone who has been sexually abused by a religious member, a lay employee or a volunteer. Click here for more info.
Call for the Comité consultatif en itinerance
The Table interministérielle en santé mentale et en itinerance (interdepartmental table on mental health and homelessness) has reserved two positions on the Comité consultatif en itinérance (advisory committee on homelessness) for people who have developed experiential, organizational, clinical and/or scientific knowledge on the issue of homelessness among Indigenous people. Second edition of the Gagne ton activité éducative! contest
From January 31 to February 19, 2023, take part in the second edition of the Gagne ton activité éducative (win your educational activity) contest! Institutions (childcare centres, daycares, elementary and high schools, youth centres, summer camps, etc.) have a chance to win $500, which must be used to carry out an educational activity with children aged 0 to 17 years focused on healthy eating. Call for proposals: For Quebec foods in our schools
This call for proposals is aimed at public elementary and high schools in Quebec as well as public vocational training centres that serve young people aged 17 and under, among other things. Université Laval, in collaboration with the Centre d’amitié autochtone de Québec, is looking to meet with people who work, on a paid or voluntary basis, in organizations that work with First Nations and Inuit on the territory of the Communauté métropolitaine de Québec (Quebec metropolitan community) for research that explores the diversity of aging and social participation trajectories. The NCCIH announces new Academic Co-Leads
After 20 years, Dr. Margo Greenwood, a scholar of Cree ancestry, is moving on from the National Collaborating Centre for Indigenous Health to her new appointment as a Senator. Dr. Sheila Blackstock and Dr. Daniel Sims, both Indigenous scholars and Associate Professors at the University of Northern British Columbia, will begin their new roles as Academic Co-Leads of NCCIH on February 1, 2023.
