Food services and practices for children aged 0 to 5 – First Nations component (phase 2): Research Project Highlights

The objective of this second phase was to learn about feeding practices, during meals, of parents of children aged 0 to 5 years, childcare educators and food managers, and their perceptions of early childhood nutrition. The results of this research are intended to guide efforts to support the creation of environments conducive to the development of healthy eating habits in early childhood. They will also allow the FNQLHSSC to improve its offer of training and accompaniment in order to better reflect the needs of the communities. The results from the questionnaires are presented in two sections. A first section presents the
highlights of the data collected from the parents, while the second section discusses the results obtained with all educators regardless of the type of services for which they work.
