Stemming from the Act to recognize and support caregivers, let’s celebrate National Caregivers Week together from November 5 to 11.
An informal caregiver is a person who provides support to a member of their entourage or community, when this individual has a disability. The support provided can be over a short or long period and aims “[…] to promote the care receiver’s recovery and the preservation and improvement of his or her quality of life at home or in other living environments.” Perhaps you yourself are one of the informal caregivers in your community?
