This intervention tool comes in light of the fact that Aboriginal women in Canada are more than eight times more likely to be victims of spousal homicide than non-Aboriginal women. It also comes in response to requests from workers who work in Aboriginal communities to have access to intervention tools to prevent spousal homicide.
