Invitation to National Dialogue Engagement Sessions – The Well-Being Project (Anglais seulement / English only)
The Canadian Aboriginal AIDS Networkand and the Dr. Peter Centre will be hosting 4 National Dialogue sessions throughout January and February to gather together and share perspectives and learnings on how the COVID-19 pandemic has influenced the experiences of gender-based violence amongst Indigenous Women (inclusive of Trans-women, Two-Spirit, Femme/Feminine-identifying, Genderqueer, or Non-binary, LGBTQ2S+) who are living with HIV and/or Hepatitis C. Well-being Wasacu (Circles) – Men’s Traditional Teachings Sharing Circle (Anglais seulement / English only)
The Community’s, Alliances & Networks are happy to announce the Indigenous Men/Individuals who identify as Male programming. Developed from the Indigenous Men’s Leadership Coordinator. The sessions will be a healing/sharing space for Individuals who want to talk about their day to day lives, mental health, aging, positive thoughts, and strengths we can develop as Indigenous people. Assembly of First Nations Virtual Dialogue on First Nations Accessibility and the Accessible Canada Act
The Assembly of First Nations is hosting a Virtual Dialogue on First Nations Accessibility and the Accessibility Canada Act: Empowering First Nations Persons of all Abilities, and First Nations Governments. The Western session will take place on February 3, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET and the Eastern Session will take place on February 10, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET. Both virtual dialogues invite First Nations persons with disabilities, First Nations leadership, regions, administrators, delivery, service providers, and more. Inside the mental health shadow pandemic
Mental health is on everyone’s list these days, with not only historic government investment but also record public engagement in addressing stigma, speaking openly about well-being, and seeking support when needed. But if we’ve seen some success in raising awareness and addressing the stigma around mental health, the urgency to do more is still present. Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux is seeking members of Comité provincial pour la prestation des services de santé et des services sociaux en langue anglaise (“Provincial Committee”). Applicants must have a proven understanding, knowledge, awareness, and experience of English-language health and social services access. The Provincial Committee’s deliberations and recommendations provide the Government of Québec with valuable insights on the provision of and access to those services. Preserve documentary heritage related to Indigenous languages and cultures
Listen, Hear Our Voices is an initiative to support Indigenous nations, governments and non-profit organizations in their efforts to digitize existing documentary heritage related to Indigenous languages and cultures; and build the skills, knowledge and resources required to carry out this work in their communities. Le concours de la Semaine québécoise intergénérationnelle récompense chaque année des initiatives qui se sont démarquées. Il est ouvert à tous les individus, institutions ou organismes à but non lucratif ayant mis en œuvre une activité ou un projet qui favorise le rapprochement entre les générations. Chacun des six lauréats se verra remettre une bourse de 1000 $, offerte grâce à la générosité de notre partenaire, la Fondation Luc Maurice. Vous avez organisé une activité ou mis sur pied une initiative intergénérationnelle entre avril 2021 et mars 2022? Programme de bourses Perspective Québec (French only / Français seulement)
Un nouveau programme de bourses incitatives sera disponible pour les étudiantes et étudiants québécois inscrits à temps plein dans plusieurs programmes d’études dans les cégeps, collèges privés et universités du Québec, dès la session d’automne 2022. Il vise à augmenter le nombre de personnes qualifiées dans les professions priorisées par le gouvernement, en déficit de main-d’œuvre dans les services publics essentiels ainsi que dans les domaines stratégiques pour l’économie.
